Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is one of two water parks at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Typhoon Lagoon is one of the most visited water parks in the world and offers something for all ages. At Typhoon Lagoon you can ride fast water slides, catch 6 foot waves and snorkel with real life actual sharks!
The story of Typhoon Lagoon is part of Disney legend. The story goes that a freak storm attacked what had previously been a quiet coastal paradise. In the chaos that ensued artefacts of day-to-day life in the town were strewn all over the place. Deckchairs ended up in palm trees, surfboards on roofs - but most remarkably a local shrimp boat “Miss Tilly” is lodged atop a volcano. Every half hour the volcano tries to dis-lodge Miss Tilly but achieves nothing more than to produce a massive geyser of water. This water goes on to create the largest wave pool in the world.
There are water-slides aplenty at Typhoon Lagoon catering for all ages from toddlers to thrill-seeking young adults, however Typhoon Lagoon offers much more than just water slides. At the Shark Reef you can snorkel with sharks at a recreation of a sunken tanker. Or have you ever wanted to learn to surf? Typhoon Lagoon offer expert-led surfing lessons (additional charge applies).
The perfect partner for the Disney theme parks, at Typhoon Lagoon you can enjoy some time to cool off from the Florida sun without having to stop the fun.
Typhoon Lagoon tickets are included in a range of Walt Disney World® Resort passes offered by Love Orlando Tickets.
