The oldest of the parks at Walt Disney World Resort® is the Magic Kingdom®. This is Disney at their traditional best, capturing the magic of fairy-tales. Here you will meet all your favourite Disney characters, from Mickey and Minnie Mouse to Snow White and Winnie the Pooh.
Stretching over 107 acres the centre-point for the park is the Cinderella Castle; for many the iconic symbol of Disney World. The park is split into distinct fantasy-lands, each recreating an element of the Disney magic.
Main Street USA is the main thoroughfare of the Magic Kingdom® and it is here that the elaborate parades for which Disney is world-renowned are held. At all times of the year you will see a colourful parade but visitors during Christmas or Thanksgiving will be treated to displays that are truly out-of-this-world.
Adventure Land is home to some of Disney’s best known rides including the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride and the ever-popular Magic Carpets of Aladdin which have been imitated but never-bettered at theme parks across the world.
Step back to the Wild West at Frontierland, where you can brave the popular roller-coaster Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, journey through Splash Mountain, a mostly indoor log flume ride full of singing puppets and animatronic critters, or visit the Shootin’ Arcade. Discover more about the USA in Liberty Square where you can visit the Hall of Presidents or sail on recreations of the US Rivers on the Liberty Square Riverboat.
Let your imagination run wild in Fantasyland; ride Peter Pan’s Flight, join in with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and see if you are brave enough to enter Snow White’s Scary Adventures.
No visit to the Magic Kingdom, or indeed Disney World Resort® is complete without a visit to Tommorrowland. Among the many attractions of this area is arguably the most famous Disney ride of all; Space Mountain.
