Animal Kingdom is the newest theme park at the Walt Disney World® Resort and offers animal lovers of all ages a unique and fun insight in to Walt Disney's passion for nature and conservation. The seven themed areas of Disney's Animal Kingdom begin with Oasis, the parks entrance. Here you can meet animals such as Anteaters and Wallabee's in their natural environment. As you continue through in to Discovery Island, The Tree of Life appears, this is the centrepiece of the Animal Kingdom and engraved into the bark of the tree are a range of animals, see how many you can make out – there are over 300! Inside, the tree becomes a theatre, currently screening the comical 4-D film; It's tough to be a Bug, based on the Disney family favourite A Bugs Life.
Visit a themed summer camp at Camp Minnie-Mickey, where you can meet stars like Goofy and watch live stage shows with acrobatics including Festival of the Lion King. The Africa Zone of Animal Kingdom throws you in to a fictional wildlife reserve where you can watch lions, gorillas, elephants and more!
Continue to the Asia section of the park where you can take a Maharajah Jungle Trek through forests with creatures like komodo dragons and tigers. There are river rapids and the Expedition Everest roller-coaster through the Himalayas.
In the DinoLand U.S.A section you will be able to meet animals including crocodiles and tortoises and attend a showing at the Theatre in the Wild which hosts Finding Nemo – The Musical. See the most complete T-Rex fossil in the world at the DINOSAUR exhibition.
