Where do you take the kids so that they can work off their energy and also stop them from whining about how everything is so boring? Well in Orlando there is just such a place (among other forms of entertainment). The AirHeads Trampoline Arena is where the kids can safely jump as high as they want and bounce around as much as they can without breaking any body parts. You can join in too, if you are of a mind, young enough (at heart) or just plain adventurous.
AirHeads tout themselves as a destination for Family Fun & Fitness. That could prove to be a really expensive fitness regime at the rate of nearly $17 per day (per person) of unlimited bouncing around. However, as a holiday excursion and a change from all the other theme park activity, in and around Orlando, this is a good change for all ages.
At the AirHeads Trampoline Arena you do not need any prior bookings or reservations. So if you (and the family or friends) decide to go on the spur of the moment, all you need to do is get there. Fortunately they don’t charge an admission fee.
After signing the liability waiver form you need to get yourself a helmet and a pair of their soft-soled jumping shoes. This is the yuckiest part for me because the shoes smell and are often sticky and sweaty from the last user. To avoid the previous person’s foot secretions you can buy a pair of AirHead socks for a $1.60. Sounds like a good scam to me.
When you are on the ‘floor’ you do have to watch out for the big noisy boisterous groups. Very often there is a pick-up dodgeball game in progress, which can get quite charged up and spill over despite the large playing area and court dividers. The arena can also be set up for basketball and volleyball.
If you are not interested throwing yourself around on a rubber reinforced (or whatever the stuff is) floor there is plenty of amusement at the arcade. You could also just lounge around at the reasonably priced AirCafe. The food is really good.
The AirHead Trampoline Arena is great change from all the other fare in Orlando. The address is: 33 W. Pineloch Ave., Orlando.
