The World of Chima

LEGOLAND® Florida – the world’s largest Lego theme park – has now opened The LEGO® World of Chima on Wednesday 3 July, 2013. The new area of the park has 3-acre of land and is based on a new Lego line and Cartoon Network show.

The World of Chima is a highly-themed area for visitors that have more than 50 thrilling and interactive rides, shows and attractions, especially meant for the 2 to 12-year-old crowd.

Features of the World of Chima

There are three main features in the new area:

- A water ride called The Quest for Chi,

- A splash zone called Cragger's Swamp

- An area where kids can play with Speedorz

The Quest for CHI –– an interactive family water boat ride –– is the centrepiece attraction. This ride is equipped with water cannons to soak and spray other boats, as well as folks standing on the sidelines. The boats float gently (and therefore require no seatbelts unlike most other theme parks) past Mount Cavora, a floating waterfall looming over the new zone at 55 feet (17 meters) high.

The Cragger's Swamp is a splish-and-splash play area filled with mist and bubbling water fountains where toddlers just getting their sea legs can wander around getting wet.

Speedorz are rip-cord Lego vehicles used by the characters in Chima.

Other features include addition of two million lego bricks – making it a total of 58 LEGO bricks now in LEGOLAND Florida. You’ll also see nearly 150 LEGO models, water play area, 12-minute 4-D movie, area for racing mini-cars, gift/merchandise shop, and character meet-and-greet areas.

The best thing about this new World of Chima is that it has an attached lego-build area for kids to practice their lego-crafting skills on the spot.
