Planning to skip LEGOLAND® Florida? Think again

With so many attractions in Florida, it may become difficult to decide which ones to opt for. While Disney World®, Universal Studios® Florida and SeaWorld® might be the three obvious choices, there is one other theme park that should not be missed: LEGOLAND® Florida.

Opened in 2011, LEGOLAND® Florida is the ideal place for LEGO lovers, especially children. It may not be one of the major theme parks in Florida, but its great line-up of kid-friendly attractions makes it a must visit for families. Apart from this, here are five more reasons for you to add LEGOLAND® Florida to your Florida itinerary:

1.       The beautiful Cypress Gardens is preserved inside LEGOLAND® Florida

LEGOLAND® Florida has been built on the site of the beautiful and historic Cypress Gardens which have been restored in their original condition with native plants like azaleas and camellias adorning the garden. You can still see the vast Banyan Tree that was planted as a seedling in 1939 expanding its roots.

To give it a LEGO touch, you will see LEGO structures scattered across the vast expanse of green grass and colorful flowers.

It is seldom that you will find such an amalgamation of the old and the new in a theme park!

2.

It is the second largest LEGOLAND park after LEGOLAND Windsor.

Spreading itself 145 acres of land, you can imagine the great range of attractions that LEGOLAND® Florida offers! With more than 45 rides, shows, attractions, restaurants, shops, a botanical garden and a water park, LEGOLAND® Florida gives you enough reasons to spend a day at the theme park.

LEGOLAND® Florida is so vast that it can’t be covered in a day (So plan accordingly!)

3.
Incredible place for imagination

No theme park can play with your imagination more than LEGOLAND® Florida. One of the most interesting sections of the park is the Imagination Zone which showcases seven of the most visually exciting LEGO models in the world, including a replica of Albert Einstein’s head. Your kids can either build cutting-edge, computerized robots at LEGO MINDSTORMS™ or build a LEGO car and test it against the competition on the digitally timed track.

4.
You can trade your old LEGO mini-figures for new ones

Yes you can. Get your old LEGO mini-figures and trade them for new ones with a LEGOLAND® Florida employee. There is also a Minifigure ambassador who goes around park with almost over 100 minifigures pinned to him for trading.

5.
Kids can drive their own LEGO cars and have a driving license

This is one of the major highlights of LEGOLAND® Florida. The Ford Driving School let kids between age of 6 and 13 enjoy a real life driving experience on the LEGO city roads by maneuvering a LEGO car.  Children receive an official LEGOLAND driving license, which makes your child a qualified LEGO driver.
